Top Five Costly Savings Bond Mistakes Video on SavingsBonds.com. Five Minute Video Helps Bond Owners Learn How to Avoid Common Financial Pitfalls.
Spring Lake, New Jersey (PRWEB) June 13, 2013
SavingsBonds.com has posted a new video on their website about an old-fashioned, American iconic investment, U.S. Savings Bonds. This is the second video in the Americanathemed series that provides important, valuable, information to help bonds owners avoid the common mistakes that often cost them, and possibly their spouses or heirs, money.
The five-minute video is hosted by SavingsBonds.coms marketing director, Jackie Brahney. It was developed by SavingsBonds.com as a result of over two decades of hearing bonds owners lament over financial mistakes they made with their bonds that could not be corrected. It features topics such as failure to report interest income on tax returns (even if bonds were not cashed in), registration issues, as well as potential financial pitfalls that may occur by cashing in bonds all at one time.
Most bond owners are not aware of these mistakes, which often results in millions of dollars being forfeited every year, says SavingsBonds.com Founder Jack Quinn. He adds, Many investors, especially seniors, are not aware that they could be creating unpleasant federal income tax situations that could easily be avoided with a little bit of knowledge and some proper planning.
The SavingsBonds.com video was designed to entertain, educate and enlighten bond owners. Hopefully it also inspires them to take the time to review their bond investment so they can avoid the costly financial mistakes, many of which are irreversible.
